Graduate Student Staff Positions
The Center for Student Engagement (CSE) is a high-energy and vibrant office that strives to provide great resources, services, and events for students and student organizations.
To help manage all of the work that we do and to offer the students of CUA an enriching experience, we rely on the work of our graduate student staff. Each graduate student staff member plays a vital role in the work that we do and gains great experience working in an office. These positions each pay a starting rate of $25.00/hour and are expected to work 15-19 hours/week. The duties of our graduate student staff positions are as follows:
Graduate Assistant for Student Organizations
- Responsibilities:
- Assist with Student Organization Training
- Oversee day to day operations of all student organization financial processes with a team of student staff
- Purchasing Card Distribution
- Purchasing Card Receipt Reconciliation
- Cash & Check Deposit Reconciliation
- Contract & Direct Payment Processing
- Coordinate all Flyer & Event approvals
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate Student enrolled at Catholic University or neighboring Institution
- Experience as a leader in student organization(s) from previous undergraduate or graduate school
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial management for student organizations
- Experience managing multiple accounts and financial transactions
Graduate Assistant for Events & Marketing
- Responsibilities:
- Oversee Graduate Student Programming including collaboration with Graduate Student Association
- Assist the Dean of Students Office with Commuter Student Programming
- Day to day oversight of team of undergraduate students managing small events for the department
- Management of digital and print marketing throughout the Pryzbyla Center
- Plan and Implement traditional events including Light the Season and Thanksgiving Event
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate Student enrolled at Catholic University or neighboring Institution
- Experience planning student events during previous undergraduate or graduate school
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Student Affairs, Counseling, or Event Management based program
Graduate Assistant for First Gen & Cultural Programming
- Responsibilities:
- Assist with First Gen programming as part of the Take Flight Program
- Coordination of Theme Month programming and collaborations with student organizations and departments across campus
- Implementation of Cultural Programming
- Required Qualifications:
- Graduate Student enrolled at Catholic University or neighboring Institution
- Experience planning student events during previous undergraduate or graduate school
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or strong interest in working with or as a First Generation student
- Experience with cultural programming and cultural engagement
